Mr. Zhang is amongst the pioneer batches of qualified patent attorneys in China and in Singapore. A mechanical engineer by training and with over 20 years' experience practicing patents in top tier intellectual property firms in China and Singapore, Mr. Zhang also worked as an in-house Patent Counsel of a leading multinational corporation in the electronics industry, supervising and coordinating patenting activities and patent enforcement actions in Asia.  

In addition to managing the firm’s practice for providing a full-range of patent services including patenting strategy counselling, patent drafting in both English and Chinese languages, patent filing and prosecution, patent analysis and portfolio management, Mr. Zhang also head a team of patent attorneys in handling patent landscape analysis, freedom-to-operate searches / opinion and patent due diligence for the firm's existing and new clients.  Mr. Zhang was appointed a member of the Examination Committee under the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore for setting and marking the papers for Singapore patent agent qualification examination and an international mentor for WIPO-IP Management Clinic for SMEs Program (IPMC).
