Our Legal practice is primarily concerned with actions for infringement of intellectual property rights and related appeals before Administrative Agencies, People’s Courts and Quasi-Judicial Tribunals in China.  Although we customarily act for the owners of intellectual property, we also act to defend both foreign and domestic clients who are alleged infringement.

In the field of trademarks, unfair competition, designs or copyright, we develop tailor-made anti-counterfeiting strategies for enforcement with the State Administration for Industry & Commerce, Local Administration for Industry & Commerce, Customs, Copyright Bureau and Administrative Authority for Patent Affairs. Our Shenzhen office has a particular specialty in this area in the coastal provinces of Guangzdong and Fujian to the south of China. Our Shanghai office specializes in anti-counterfeiting in the cities adjacent to and inland of Shanghai.

We have a team of investigators who are experienced in detecting and investigating acts of IP infringement, especially in the fields of trademarks, designs, unfair competition and copyright.  Our investigators work closely with the relevant provincial and local officials and public notaries to make sure that evidence is gathered meticulously and legally.  We understand that, our client’s goal is not only taking the counterfeiting products out of the market place, but to root out the source of infringement.

Our legal team is experienced in handling appeals before the People’s Court regarding decisions by the Patent Reexamination Board and the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board.  Working closely with our Patent and Trademark Attorneys, our legal team has obtained successful results for our clients.
