Professional Experience                                                                                                                                          After serving as engineer for nearly 20 years, Ms. Chen accumulated solid theoretical knowledge and broad experience on metal treatment and plastics working. Ms. Chen was appointed the representative by the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry to participate in drafting the virgin version of the Chinese Patent Law and the subsequent two revisions of the law. She was one of the first patent attorneys certified in the People's Republic of China.

After receiving professional training on IP affairs in China University of Political Science and Law, Ms. Chen became a founder of the Metallurgy Patent Agency and was appointed its president. On April 1, 1985, the date that the China Patent Office started to accept patent applications, Ms. Chen submitted four patent applications on behalf of her clients. In the following years, Ms. Chen handled a large quantity of patent applications, reexaminations, invalidation and infringement dispute cases.

Ms. Chen attended many training programs sponsored by international organizations.

Being one of the founders of the All-China Patent Agents Association, Ms. Chen was elected Vice President of the Association and has been holding the position till now.
