Professional Experience
Dr.
Zou graduated from Peking University with a Bachelor's degree
in law in 1985 and later from Graduate School of Chinese
Academy of Social Sciences with his Master's and Doctoral
degrees.
Dr.
Zou studied as a visiting scholar at the Lewis and Clark Law
School of Oregon in 1992 and did research at the Law Faculty,
Tokyo University in 1994.
Working
as law professor with the Institute of Law of the Chinese
Academy of Social Sciences, Dr. Zou was promoted to Director
of the Commercial Law Division of the Institute. He is also
associated with Beijing Foreign Economic and Trade Law Office
before and Beijing Kehua Law Firm.
Dr.
Zou is a member of the Chinese Bar Association and a member of
the drafting team for the formulation of the Bankruptcy Law
under the Financial and Economic Commission of the National
People’s Congress. He has been working as an arbitrator of
Beijing Arbitration Commission since 1998 and also China
International Economic And Trade Arbitration Commission since
2003.
Since
joining China Sinda, Dr. Zou has handled many litigation cases
involving intellectual property rights on behalf of his
clients from U.S.A., Netherlands, United Kingdom, Japan,
Korea, and Germany, etc.. Some of the famous litigation cases he represented include the
landmark case regarding IKEA domain name in China, the
well-known goods’ case regarding “LAOGANMA” in China and
huge damage cases such as “LG & device” trademark
disputes, FKK patent infringement, etc..
